‘In Mourning of Jasmine’ is the name of the theater play with Jasmine as a metaphor referring to Hazrat Fatima (SA).
This year, passing anniversary of Hazrat Fatima (SA) in Iran falls on Thursday, and millions of people in Iran attend mourning ceremonies held for the Prophet’s daughter.
‘In Mourning of Jasmine’ narrates the story of a man returning to Iran for selling his father’s house who has passed away and he wants to receive his inheritance. The man’s visit to Iran coincides with a ceremony to commemorate Hazrat Fatima (SA) at his father’s residence. Such coincidence changes the man’s ideology and viewpoint. The play provides a flashback to the life events of Hazrat Fatima (SA).
The play directed by Mehrdad Mehrabi is performed at Tehran Theater Complex in the Iranian capital city.
